Ready to find out how these simple porcelain restorations could change your smile?veneers

It’s amazing to think that by just applying a thin layer of porcelain over the front of your teeth that our San Diego, CA, cosmetic dentists - Drs. Connie, Brandon and Jennifer Pierce - can completely transform your smile. It’s true that it really doesn’t take much to give your smile the proper boost it needs to look healthier and more attractive. Find out what dental veneers could do for you.

About Dental Veneers

These ultra-thin porcelain shells are made especially for your teeth so that they cover the entire front portion to enhance its look. Veneers are a great way to make major cosmetic revamps to your smile. Each shell is custom-made and then bonded to the front your tooth to change the color, length or overall shape. If you are dealing with any of these cosmetic problems, then dental veneers may be exactly what you’ve been looking for:

  • Severe discolorations and stains
  • Mild-to-moderate chips and cracks
  • Small gaps between teeth
  • Minor crookedness and crowding
  • Misshapen or poorly formed teeth
  • Teeth that are too short or worn down

Have you always wished for a whiter smile but hate those deep-set stains that teeth whitening can’t even treat? Do you wish you could cover that gap between your teeth or make those bottom front teeth appear straighter? Now you can, and it can all happen with just one cosmetic treatment.

Getting Veneers

In most cases, it will take about three separate trips to see our San Diego dentists before you can leave with your new smile. The first step is to undergo a consultation. This is necessary before getting any dental work. We want to make sure your smile is just right for what veneers can offer.

Once we’ve determined that you are a great candidate for treatment, we will need to prepare the tooth or teeth that are getting veneers. In order to do this, we will need to remove about 0.5mm of enamel from the front of your teeth.

We will also take molds of your veneers so that we have a model of your teeth from which to design and make your very own veneers. Once your veneers are ready to be placed, you’ll come in for your final fitting. We will determine that everything looks and feels great before bonding them to the front of your teeth using a special resin and a curing light to harden the resin in place.

Pierce Family Dentistry in San Diego, CA, is dedicated to helping you achieve the most beautiful smile you can get. You don’t have to be born with the ideal smile. Dental veneers and other cosmetic options are out there to give you the makeover you’ve been looking for.
